Mark 3:1-6 (NKJV)

And He entered the synagogue again, and a man was there who had a withered hand. 2 So they watched Him closely, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse Him. 3 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Step forward.” 4 Then He said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they kept silent. 5 And when He had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as whole as the other. 6 Then the Pharisees went out and immediately plotted with the Herodians against Him, how they might destroy Him.

The scripture above is one of many where Jesus healed a person suffering from disease or some type of medical issue. No matter how much good a person does someone is out to get them. In this case the Pharisees the ‘religious leaders” who should have been supporting and working with Jesus.

New Testament healing is a central component of Jesus’ ministry, demonstrating the arrival of God’s Kingdom, compassion, and power over physical and spiritual sickness. Healings often occurred instantaneously, frequently involving verbal commands or touch, with faith from the individual or others playing a key role. It highlights restoration to wholeness, spanning physical, spiritual, and emotional restoration.

However, when we pray for healing and it is not instantaneous how do we react? I have experienced healing both immediate and then times I had to wait. Waiting is hard, immediate is easy. Both healings take faith. I have no idea why God does what He does a in the timing He does it. That is not for me to know but the one thing I need to keep in mind that he knows all and knows what is best for me. When I can accept that then I have reaching toward spiritual wholeness.

How is our faith when we wait?

God Bless.
