Bible Study February 13, 2025 “From now on, therefore, we regard no one according to the flesh. Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. From Allen Jackson
Blessed Are the Persecuted I read this today from Allen Jackson, thought it was worth sharing. Matthew 5:11-12 (NIV®)“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Christians in my part of the world have not faced real opposition until recently. Saying we believe that Jesus is the Messiah or that we uphold the biblical principles of sexuality has not diminished our standing in the community or our career prospects. But times have changed, and the consequences of stating our beliefs have changed, too. We know that if we say we are Christ-followers and intend to live by biblical values, insults and persecution may follow. Jesus told us this, but He also promised that when we are persecuted for His sake we will be greatly rewarded. Let’s not take the easy way out when we have opportunities to share our commitment to Jesus. Let’s have the courage to stand for our convictions and declare our allegiance to the Lord, who has done so much for us. THINK ABOUT ITAsk God to give you a revelation of Jesus more real than your grasp of this present world order—along with a greater awareness of His eternal Kingdom, its power and authority, and the magnitude of its implications.
