2 Thessalonians 2:11 – 17 (NKJV)
11 “And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness. 13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle. 16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us and given us everlasting consolation and good hope by grace, 17 comfort your hearts and establish you in every good word and work.”
Unfortunately there are those who choose to live outside of relationship with Jesus simply said they are sinners. Paul is telling this young church those who do not follow the ways of Jesus are going to receive divine judgement which will be severe. They will continue to lie and live a false life.
God has always judged willful rejection by giving people over to their desires. This will continue in the last days. God will seal the fate of those who choose to follow Satan. Their fate is sealed by the way they chose to live the life He gave them.
This is nothing new in our generation it has occurred all through history and unfortunately it will occur into the future until Jesus returns to take His followers out of the world then all hell will break loose.
What He has done is provide a way of escape from the pending doom that is before us. Paul wrote to the Roams church and gave them these words. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” (Rom. 10:9-11).
God Bless.
