Sunday @ Asbury Chapel

Sunday @ Asbury Chapel

We are over the next several weeks look into the Epistle Paul wrote to the church in Colossae. This week we are taking a look at ministry and more specifically who is called into ministry, how do you know the will of God for your life, and finding His will is not difficult.

Asbury Chapel is located at the corner of Highway W and Y in Foley, MO. Our service begins at 9:30 but coffee is available around 8:30 as are donuts. You will find our services are primarily contemporary, dress is casual and you are welcome.

If you cannot join us in person you can follow us on Facebook facebook.com/asburychapel.org. Our website will give you more information about us and you can see it at asburychapel.org.

We are including our message notes for you to follow along if you watching remotely. Have a blessed day.

MINISTRY IS CORPORATE IN NATURE

Colossians 1:1-5

There are three areas of emphasis that Paul was directing his writing concerning the church in Colossae:

1.           Heresy had entered the church in Colossae,

2.           Ministry is all about spiritual teamwork, and

3.           His writings offer us principles to live by.

How do we know we are in the “will of God?” Two important  thoughts can be considered here:

1.           Know you will enjoy being in His will

2.           He will not only give you joy but He will equip you to do ministry.

Finding God’s will for your life is not difficult –

Step out try some things –

Find what is comfortable for you to do –

  Take some risks –

Walk by faith it is necessary –

Do not fret about making a wrong step –

God’s will for your life is His will for your life.
