This Sunday we begin our Advent worship with a message titled “Preparations.” We all prepare for events that are about to occur in our daily lives. But have we prepared for the one major event that assures of us of eternal life?

This first Sunday of Advent – Hope
The Advent reading today was about hope:
- Life is broken at times when we need hope,
- Sometimes people fail us – we need hope,
- No matter what we do – we need hope.
There is a lot going on but not too much to avoid the season’s reason.
What He offers is almost too much to fathom.
