Psalm 23:6 (ESV)

“Surely  goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

I only included verse six here but I would believe anyone alive has heard the 23rd Psalm and many can recite it. It is often used at Celebration of Life events held for the deceased.

I read yesterday someone wrote there were six Fridays left until Christmas. How have you spent this year? As we approach the end of the year it is a good time to reflect and see what changes we can make for 2025 if any. I imagine we all can see things differently and changes we will make.

How do you spend your day? What are the most important things you do?

  • Do you read a portion of scripture daily?
  • Do you spend some time in prayer?
  • Did you tell your children you loved them; children did you tell your parents you loved them?
  • Did you have opportunity to help someone out, maybe offer a smile?
  • Did you get an opportunity to serve someone in a food pantry then pray for them?
  • Or do we get caught up in meaningless tasks that consume out time?

This is small list of things we can do, nothing overly involved, nothing costing anything. How will I spend my day today? I am confident if you do some of the things listed above that at the end of the day you can say “Surely  goodness and mercy did shall follow me this day and it will follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

“Outside of Christ I am empty; in Christ, I am full.” Watchman Nee.

God Bless.
