1 Corinthians 13:8 – 13 (ESV)

“Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. 13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.”

Do you ever wonder why things happen?  When bad things come to us we either trust God or go on trying to figure out what is going on and why. We do not always know why things happen and that is a good thing.

God knows far more than we and maybe when we get to heaven we can ask the why but I imagine at that time it will not make any difference. Our problems, our health issues, our financial issues will all be of no concern when we see Jesus. No longer will the past have any significance in our past life. We are now living eternally with never any more cares.

All we need to know is the words of the popular Mahayla Jackson song “He’s got the whole world in His hands.”

“I take Him ay His word; indeed, “Christ died for sinners” – this I read; for in my heart I find a need of Him to be my savior.” Dorothy Greenwell.

God Bless.
