Hebrews 12:1 – 2 (KJV)

“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Life is busy seems like so much to do, so much needs to be done how do we accomplish it all? Or do we need to do everything that comes up?

We hear sounds all day, we listen, we ignore those that do not affect us directly. So we can ignore some things but are we ignoring the most important things in our life?

We all could spend more time studying and read the scriptures and books that edify us and help us better understand the scriptures. There are also many good books outside of Christian books that are worthwhile. I remember reading Jim Baker’s book “I Was Wrong” and captivated by it.

Commit to a time every day that you can set aside to stop, read some scripture and ask God for His guidance in your life. That of your family, your church, and our world. Some may need to refocus some may already be there. Pray for one another.

“Turn your focus to God’s love.” Rick Warren.
