Psalm 95:1 – 7 (ESV)
“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! 2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! 3 For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also. 5 The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. 6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! 7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.”
We just got a new puppy and although much of the beginning housebreaking was done by the fosters she still needs attention (a lot of attention). We are working on helping her learn obedience. Obedience is something we should be aware of all our lives. We teach our children how to be safe, avoid strangers, do not accept any gifts from people they do not know. We do all we can to insure their safety. Being obedient is one of them.
Psalm 95 is a Psalm about singing, shouting, worshipping and bowing down to God. We do this reverence but also in obedience to our Creator. We worship God as rock of our salvation the King above all kings. Be obedient to God in all He calls us to do.
The Psalm is a reference from the depths of the sea to all around us He is a God of all the earth the Ruler of the world.
“God wills to be displayed and known and loved and cherished and worshipped always and everywhere and in every act.” John Piper.
God Bless.
