James 1:25 (ESV)
“But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.”
Are you happy with how you look? Many people get surgeries to change their appearance so they believe they will become “more beautiful.” Many times they continue to be unsatisfied with their appearance. We look into the mirror many times to check our appearance.
Michael Jackson recorded a song called “Man In the Mirror” and here are some of the lyrics:
I’m gonna make a change
For once in my life
It’s gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right
I’m starting with the man in the mirror
I’m asking him to change his ways
And no message could’ve been any clearer
If they wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change.
What really changes our appearance? It is being formed in the image of God there is no other way to be reimaged. Let the scriptures reflect who God is in your life.
