I posted this yesterday on our Facebook page. Today I wanted to share in more the “Why” behind the picture. At Asbury Chapel we have a Daycare “Little Blessings at Asbury. We are blessed to be able to minister to the children by giving a Christian Daycare to partner with their parents.
Several of our children are foster children. In fact, one family fosters five children who attend. In the summer we do field trips such as going swimming, going to a bounce house, activities that allow them to run off some energy but also allow them to interact with other children in different settings.
We have challenged ourselves during the season of Lent to collect our loose change (loose bills and checks are also acceptable) to help families with the added expense of these field trips.
You may find yourself saying “That’s a great idea how can I help?” Yes you can. All the money collected will be going to support these children this summer.
